A boot camp is a group exercise or training run by one or two instructors, usually outdoors like beaches or parks. The environment in a boot camp also fosters rapport with team members. Friendships are formed within the group that helps encourage someone to stick with the given program. Indeed, it is more fun to do work-outs with friends.

The team environment and discipline also are important to overcome tendency to slack off while in the boot camp. It is difficult to feel uninterested in group of motivated and committed people. In boot camps, part of the dynamics is that participants have a sense of accountability to the other members in the team. Punishments are also in place for those who fail to show up. Thus, this leads to commitment and greater adherence to the program.

Joining a boot camp can bring loads of fun while getting that much-needed exercise. However, because of its intensity, one must make sure that before starting one, you are certified fit by the doctor. It is also wise to look around for the best boot camp one can join in. Ask referrals.  The cheapest may not always be the better option but it also goes to say that the most expensive may not always be the best option.
